“Building a new home on the water, AirTight’s SprayFoamTM provides us with outstanding structural integrity, utility savings, and a great sound barrier. AirTight outperformed themselves.”
1) What type of project did AirTight Insulation help you with? New construction which involved complete demolition. On the river, we have 150ft of waterfront that faces Northeast with lots of wind. We built a 5,000 sq. ft. home with an open floor plan, 10 ft. ceilings and lots of windows. We used spray foam insulation on the underside of ceiling/roof which is metal. Only 8 degree difference between the attic and rest of house so we did a lot of extra installation. In addition, we decided to use cast iron drops and foam insulation for sound barrier. The relation to heat and wind is dramatic.
2) Have your utility bills decreased since the installation? Our bills are now $184 vs. $138 on old home that was only 2100 sq. ft.
3) What did you like best about AirTight as a company? Their product offers tremendous insulating quality. As a closed cell system, it gave our home structural integrity. Well worth the investment. We especially liked the enhancement to the structural integrity, sound barrier, heat absorption, and of course utility savings. AirTight was most professional, executed their job very well, and really outperformed themselves. All materials were delivered right, costs were on target, and the insulation schedule was right on.

1) What type of project did AirTight Insulation help you with? We built a home in Sea Girt, NJ so we installed foam insulation in the roof rafters, basement, and exterior walls for the homeowner. We had to fill the void between the cement wall and a wall of studs.
2) Is this the first time you used spray foam instead of fiberglass or another type of insulation? We were looking for a unique product and this was it.
3) As a builder, what does AirTight’s product offer in the way of structural integrity? SprayFoam fills the voids better. It helps take in exterior air and run it through the HVAC system. It glues everything together.
4) Have your customers told you that their utility bills decreased? If so, by how much approximately? Yes, by $100.
5) What did you like best about AirTight? AirTight’s SprayFoam is an excellent sound barrier. They are very professional and provide good project management. AirTight is extremely Knowledgeable…they understand their product.
